How will you make an impact in this role?
We're looking for a talented and passionate Associate - Digital Product Management, to join the Servicing Capabilities Product team. This individual will drive product operations and analytics developing a broad understanding of all features and supporting product managers in bringing insights, compliance, and efficiencies to the Product team. The Product Owner helps drive enterprise goals through engineering delivery. This role focuses on improving user efficiency, Customer experience,. Additional duties require partnering with stakeholder teams to deliver product roadmaps, collaboration across teams to determine product requirements, analysis of pre- and post-implementation data, and overall management of use cases development from inception to release. The role requires a solid understanding Customer Servicing, Debit/Credit Card and Payment ecosystem, experience with software development, concise communication skills, an efficient independent work ethic, and enthusiasm for delivering exciting cutting-edge tools to our American Express colleagues. Key responsibilities are:
Own product strategy and delivery for digital servicing platforms (Disputes, Fraud, Inquiries) across Credit, Debit, and ATM channels.
Define and prioritize features, user stories, and backlogs aligned with business goals, compliance needs, and customer experience improvements.
Lead Agile ceremonies and partner with engineering and data science teams to deliver AI/ML and Pega-enabled capabilities (e.g., Disputes Assist, Complaints Assist).
Use data and performance analytics to track KPIs, identify trends, and drive continuous product optimization.
Ensure adherence to risk, compliance, and audit standards (e.g., New Product Approvals, Issue Management).
Maintain accurate process documentation, controls, and reporting dashboards for transparency and governance.
Collaborate across Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Risk to deliver seamless customer and business outcomes.
Support go-to-market activities, stakeholder communications, and leadership reporting.
Champion innovation and process improvement through automation, AI integration, and data-driven insights.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
2+ years of relevant experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Agile delivery within digital or technology domains.
Experience working directly with engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Product, Data Science, Design, Marketing).
Certification or working knowledge of Agile or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) is a plus.
Technical & Analytical Skills
Strong understanding of Agile and Product Development practices — capable of writing user stories, managing backlogs, and leading Agile ceremonies.
Familiarity with AI, Machine Learning, or Pega platforms and an interest in applying these technologies to solve business problems.
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word for documentation, reporting, and analysis.
Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data, evaluate product performance, and define measurable success metrics.
Understanding of payments, Disputes, Fraud, General Banking servicing.
Leadership & Collaboration
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within large cross-functional teams, including technology, risk, and compliance partners.
Strong communicator – capable of translating complex technical concepts into simple, actionable terms for diverse audiences.
Influential and relationship-driven, able to guide teams toward shared goals and align stakeholders on product vision and priorities.
Experience driving transformational change and delivering results in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
