Job Title: Accounts Head

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Head to lead our Accounts Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting function — including financial planning, budgeting, cost control, compliance, and financial reporting. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and in-depth financial management expertise to ensure smooth financial operations and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Management

  2. Lead, guide, and mentor the accounts team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

  3. Establish and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures in compliance with statutory regulations.

  4. Coordinate with internal departments for budgeting, cost planning, and financial reporting.

  5. Financial Planning & Analysis

  6. Oversee financial forecasting, planning, and variance analysis.

  7. Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure cost optimization and resource allocation.

  8. Conduct regular financial performance reviews and provide strategic recommendations to management.

  9. Accounting & Compliance

  10. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.

  11. Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.

  12. Manage statutory audits, tax audits, and coordinate with external auditors.

  13. Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings, and other statutory requirements.

  14. Cost Management & Control

  15. Develop and monitor cost control systems and reports.

  16. Analyze expenditures and implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality or efficiency.

  17. Financial Reporting & Strategy

  18. Present detailed financial analysis and reports to senior management for decision-making.

  19. Support business planning, project feasibility, and financial risk management.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification.

  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of Tally / ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.

  • Excellent understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and compliance regulations.

  • Proven ability to manage teams and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
