As agreed per GDS growth Glidepath for US - EY Private integration goal for US is set at 42%+ penetration using the smart delivery construct. As GDS Assurance scales its delivery model to execute on agreed normative model and glidepath, there is a need for EY Private portfolio ADN leader based on US regions to lead the service delivery across for EY Private engagements. 

More than 40% of US book of business is Private portfolio and this role will help establish success story for balance private portfolio to enhance GDS integration on EY Private clients.

The US Central Pvt Portfolio ADN Leader role will be responsible for:

Lead a portfolio of 8-10 large Private clients based out of US Central region as lead Executive Director from GDSWork closely with the GCSP of these large 8-10 private clients to collaborate more with client executives and audit committee and build strong relationships with them to enable win in specific fields of play (across service lines)Participate in US Central EY Private forums to understand challenges and opportunities where GDS can expand integrationDeliver high quality audit services using the wider EY and One GDS ecosystem focusing on delivery through standardization of workpapers and automated solutionsTake responsibility of managing risk at the practice and engagement level -maintain independence and objectivity, complying personally (and challenging colleagues' and teams' adherence) with all applicable professional standards, EY policies and regulatory requirementsLead a high performing GDS team of audit professionals to serve the clientDrive mobility opportunities for high performing senior managers and managers on US Central Private portfolioTransform the audit delivery through use of automation tools and data analyticsDevelop a deep understanding of clients' business goals, sector and EY services to drive the audit strategy for the client, which also includes building and maintaining strong client relationshipsDeliver insights on the account to gain trust and confidence of the clientDevelop a strategy to increase GDS's footprint on the account across service lines

Essential Functions of the job

Win in the market:

Lead the portfolio of 8-10 large private US Central clients from GDS under the construct of Account centricity program through "ONE GDS team" and work as part of primary team and collaborate with GCSP to deliver on client prioritiesParticipate in US Central EY Private forums to understand challenges and opportunities where GDS can expand integrationDriving the service delivery transformation of identified portfolio Designing and driving strategyDevelop a deep understanding of clients' business goals and EY services to co-develop an account strategy for new business or current business expansion and assist GCSP to generate new business opportunities and build client networks and relationshipsImplement and continuously improve processes via use of technology and innovation.

Quality

Deliver high class audit services to identified 8-10 large US Central private clients using the wide EY and GDS ecosystemTake responsibility of managing risk at the practice and engagement level -maintain independence and objectivity, complying personally (and challenging colleagues' and teams' adherence) with all applicable professional standards, EY policies and regulatory requirementsDeliver training on GAM methodology and other current market trends and industry issues

Develop a world class team of highly motivated audit professionalsDrive mobility opportunities for high performing senior managers and managers on US Central Private portfolioFoster a diverse and inclusive team environment by empowering teams - mobilize the strengths, trust, and collaboration of team members so they are focused on achieving the highest standards and results.  Guide team members on technical areas of high risk & complexity, participate actively in performance management & learning process of the team; help build the career value that team gains from working with GDS

Assurance 

Mentor and coach direct reporting Executive Director and SeniorManagers on technical aspect and on soft skills e.g., how to handle people issues, difficult client, decision making

Leadership

Develop a deep understanding of clients' business goals and EY services to co-develop an account strategy for new business or current business expansion and assist GCSP to generate new business opportunities and build client networks and relationshipsDemonstrates leadership and sets an example to others that quality, exceptional client service, efficiency, and optimized use of GDS are our overarching objectives.Leads by example in bringing in "One GDS" by leveraging cross sub service line credentials. Partnering with GDS and Area digital leadership to accelerate development and adoption of digital solutions.  Use cutting edge technology to bring innovations in delivery that will drive value lead growth.

   Portfolio Management

Being an advocate of change in streamlining GDS processes to make it leaner and more efficient.

Human resources and education

Provides directions to GDS Assurance leadership on the need for specialized training based on work portfolio characteristics.Ensuring the right levels and caliber of talent in the team and focus on up-skilling and moving up the value chain

Education and Experience

Chartered Accountant from ICAI.14+ years of post-qualification experience in global strategic and transformation roles managing large teams across geography.Hands-on experience in setting up teams, creating solutions and having managed large teams.Experience in a global environment and managing senior leaders' cross-border.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

Technical Competencies

Strong audit knowledge including understanding of the audit methodology and GAAP.Strong project and change management knowledge, with proven record of managing large initiatives.Experience of developing/co-developing new services/solutions that has long term value-impact.

Leadership and behavioral competencies 

Effective leadership style with focus on building inclusive culture & high performing teams of global professionals.  Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with leaders from other SSLs and Smart Delivery leadership at Global, Area and Region levels.Influencing skills -ability to work with ambiguity, and build consensus across diverse,Demonstrates passion & energy at work and in promoting EY values & behaviors.Good analytical skills with problem solving & decision-making capabilities.Strong Coaching and Mentoring Skills that is to be applicable to immediate reporting span and to the larger team.
