Senior QA Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in testing web applications and services. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our enterprise-grade Point-of-Sale (POS) retail management solution for the Telecom industry. This role offers the opportunity to test complex, large-scale systems, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing of web applications (functional, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing).
  • Test applications integrated with Point-of-Sale systems and third-party APIs.
  • Execute regression and smoke tests to ensure product stability.
  • Create and maintain test documentation (test cases, test plans, bug reports).
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, demos, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Maintain and support test environments.
  • Assist in troubleshooting production issues.
  • Contribute ideas and suggest improvements to enhance product quality and user experience.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Hands-on experience testing web applications and RESTful web services.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and release management processes.
  • Strong knowledge of test design techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL for test data validation.
  • Understanding of client-server architecture.
  • Familiarity with version control systems.
  • Good communication skills in English (intermediate or higher).

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience testing complex applications with third-party integrations (APIs, services, etc.).
  • Hands-on with tools like JIRA, TestRail, Postman, Fiddler, Swagger.
  • Exposure to automation frameworks (Python or Java) is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Strong team player with a cooperative and flexible mindset.
  • Proactive and results-driven, with a passion for improving product quality.
