Job Title: Engineering Manager Golang

Location: Mumbai - BKC

Experience: 8+ Years (2+ Years in Team Management)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with strong hands-on expertise in Golang to lead a team of backend engineers. You will define technical strategy, drive architecture decisions, and ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure systems in a fast-paced FinTech environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers working primarily in Go (Golang)
  • Define technical architecture and enforce coding best practices
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, InfoSec for scalable solutions
  • Manage sprints, prioritize tasks, and ensure on-time delivery
  • Ensure code quality, system performance, and reliability
  • Foster innovation, continuous improvement, and a high-performing culture

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong hands-on Golang development experience
  • Microservices architecture, API design, event-driven systems
  • System design, distributed systems, performance optimization
  • Relational & NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/GCP
  • Knowledge of security & compliance practices (PCI DSS, SOC 2 preferred)

Preferred:

  • Experience in FinTech or regulated industries
