Manager/Senior Manager – Wind

Role & Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for managing and executing Wind/EHV Hybrid projects with a focus on project planning, design coordination, execution, and stakeholder management. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead end-to-end execution of Wind and EHV Hybrid projects including design review, engineering, procurement, and commissioning.
• Shall be responsible for Wind Projects on end-to-end basis from Concept to Commissioning i.e. Supervising WTG Foundation, Crane planning and Monitoring, Erection and Commissioning of Wind Farms.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and HSE) and external consultants for project implementation.
• Review detailed engineering drawings, SLDs, BOQs, and vendor documents for Wind/EHV hybrid systems
• Manage substation (GIS/AIS), transmission line, and hybrid project-related works (220kV/132kV/66kV/33kV).
• Ensure compliance with grid codes, CEA regulations, state transmission utility (STU) requirements, and renewable energy hybrid policies.
• Liaise with statutory authorities and agencies such as TUV, RE4Climate, Sun-connect, and state nodal agencies for necessary approvals.
• Monitor site progress, ensure quality standards, and resolve technical/operational issues in coordination with contractors and vendors.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement HSE standards at project sites.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery within cost and time constraints.
• Support bid management and technical due diligence for upcoming Wind/EHV hybrid projects.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Power Engineering or related discipline.
• Master's degree in Renewable Energy/Power Systems (preferred).
• Sound understanding of Wind and EHV Hybrid systems, substation design, and transmission line projects.

Experience

• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in execution of large-scale renewable projects, with at least 5 years in Wind/EHV hybrid or transmission-related projects.
• Hands-on experience in liaising with state electricity boards, STU/CTU, and regulatory authorities.
• Proven track record of handling substation and hybrid project execution at 220kV/132kV/66kV/33kV and above.

Technical Attributes

• Strong knowledge of Wind turbine technology, SCADA systems, and hybrid integration with Solar/EHV networks.
• Expertise in designing and reviewing layouts, electrical SLDs, protection systems, and metering schemes.
• Familiarity with substation equipment (transformers, breakers, isolators, protection relays, CT/PT, switchgear).
• Knowledge of power evacuation system design, load flow studies, and grid interconnection processes.
• Proficiency in industry software tools such as ETAP, PVSyst, AutoCAD, and MS Project/Primavera.
• Understanding of renewable energy hybrid policies, grid codes, and regulatory frameworks.
