Pace Robotics is a construction robotics start up incubated by SINE IIT-Bombay and backed by Pidilite Ventures and IIMA Ventures. We are making the construction process faster, smarter and efficient through robots that can do advanced construction tasks and digitize execution data in real time. Our first product is a modular wall finishing robot for plastering, putty and painting of building interiors. Our customers include some of the biggest names in Indian real estate and construction.About the Role:As aRobotics Simulation Engineering Intern, you'll dive straight into creating and running high-fidelity simulation environments to test robots, sensors, and algorithms before they hit the ground. You'll work closely with our robotics, mechanical and embedded systems teams, helping us accelerate development by making simulations as close to reality as possible.Responsibilities:Build and customize simulation environments in tools like Gazebo and Isaac Sim .Model robots, sensors, actuators and environments for testing algorithms in navigation, control, and perception.Run experiments in simulation to validate robot behaviour and stress-test edge cases.Work with the team to automate testing pipelines and integrate simulation into the development workflow.Document your findings and share learnings with the broader team.Required Skills:In the final year of pursuing a degree in a relevant STEM field or a recent graduate (< 1 year)Strong coding skills in Python or C++ .Comfortable with ROS/ROS 2 and Linux development.Familiarity with at least one simulation tool (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, etc.).Solid understanding of robotics basics — kinematics, dynamics, or control.Curiosity, creativity, and a "let's figure it out" mindset.Bonus Skills:Experience with 3D modelling (Blender, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.).Exposure to reinforcement learning or AI in simulation.Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD workflows.Any projects where you've built robots, simulated systems, or contributed to open-source robotics.Personal Attributes:Strong sense of curiosity and an eagerness to learn new concepts, technologies, and methodologies.Thrives in cross-functional, fast-paced R&D environments.Highly organized and methodical in everything you doWhy Join Us?Work on real problems with real impact.Learn directly from engineers building state of the art robots.Fast-paced, collaborative, and no-red-tape environment.Plenty of room to experiment, fail fast, and grow.Opportunity to convert the position into a full time role based on performance.
