Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Underwriter located in Kochi. The Chief Underwriter will be responsible for overseeing underwriting operations, developing underwriting guidelines and policies, assessing risk, and making informed decisions on insurance applications. The role also involves leading a team of underwriters, providing training and support, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in underwriting, risk assessment, and insurance policies
• Proven leadership skills and experience in team management
• Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• Professional certifications such as CPCU, ARM, or similar are beneficial
