Job Description: Buyer (Cell/ Module plant O&M)

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana (HO)

Industry Type: Integrated Solar PV Manufacturing (Ingot-Wafer-Cell-Module)

Role Category: Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager/Associate Manager

Role & responsibilities

Position Overview: You will be a part of Procurement team and collaborate with cross-functional departments, and work closely with vendors to ensure the successful aimed at improving efficiency, productivity, and quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Above role would cover the below:

  • Responsible for raw material procurement, for Solar PV cell/ module manufacturing line
  • Review production and maintenance schedule and coordinate with concerned stake-holders for timely issuance of Purchase Requisitions (PR) / technical specifications.
  • Issuance of RFx to bidders.
  • Ensure timely availability of required material to production facility to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Monitoring of price trends and finalizing raw material prices based on the same. Also check on market trends to stock more material or defer buying at higher prices.
  • Ensure preparation and review of commercial comparison statement based on bids received
  • Commercial discussion/ negotiation with bidders for meeting required price targets, budgets, timely delivery and other plant and commercial requirements.
  • Prepare proposal for management approval for placement of PO.
  • Ensure timely preparation & release of PO/ SO to supplier as per management approval and ensure timely acceptance of the same.
  • Processing and release of timely payments/ LCs to suppliers.
  • Take feedback from required stake holders and evaluate bidders for future requirements and take required actions based on the performance feedback.
  • Preserve purchase data for future ordering references.
  • Develop supplier base for ongoing and future requirements based on market research and feedback from business teams.

Experience: 3-10 years in raw material procurement for Solar PV/ Semiconductor/ Chemical industry buying chemicals, bulk and specialty gases,

Qualification: B.E/ B.Tech
