Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA with strong Azure migration expertise and ETRM domain knowledge to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for administering Oracle databases on Azure cloud, supporting ETRM trading applications, and ensuring high availability and performance for mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Oracle databases hosted in Azure.
  • Perform database installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations to Azure cloud.
  • Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies (Oracle Data Guard, Azure Site Recovery).
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and performance diagnostics.
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using Azure Automation, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
  • Configure and maintain Azure storage solutions and backup strategies.
  • Collaborate with developers and system admins to ensure smooth database and application operations.
  • Develop and maintain data integration processes between ETRM applications and other systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for ETRM applications in real-time.

Domain Expertise:

  • Experience in CETRM/ETRM domain (Commodity/Energy Trading and Risk Management).
  • Familiarity with ETRM systems like Allegro, OpenLink, or similar platforms.
  • Good understanding of Power/Gas Trading in European Market.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure services:

  • Azure Database for Oracle

  • Azure Blob Storage, Azure Backup, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics

  • Experience in database migration to Azure and cloud infrastructure optimization.

  • Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other DBA tools.
  • Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows Server environments.
  • Scripting knowledge: PowerShell, Bash.
  • Oracle Certification (OCP, OCE) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle critical situations.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
