.CMM Operations

  • Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) (e.g., Mitutoyo- bridge type, Hexagon- Romer Arm).
  • Interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) from technical drawings.
  • Use software such as INSPIRE to create and edit measurement programs.
  • Validate dimensions of machined or assembled parts per customer and internal specifications.

  • Record and report inspection results accurately.

  • Standard Room (CMM Lab) Responsibilities

  • Record and report inspection results accurately.

  • Use precision instruments: Micrometers, Verniers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, Surface Plates, etc.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure all measuring instruments are within calibration.
  • Support first article inspection (FAI), in-process, and final inspection activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and environmental control of the standard room.
  • Support internal and external audits (ISO, IATF, etc)

Required Skill sets (including the qualitative skills)

  • Strong knowledge of GD&T.
  • Experience with CMM programming & operation.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Good knowledge in MSA & Layout Inspection.
  • Skill in Checking gauges, Welding fixture and ).

Exp : 2-3 years
