Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative
Design Manager
to lead the design process across various architectural, interior, or development projects. The Design Manager will be responsible for coordinating between design consultants, in-house teams, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive, high-quality, and timely delivery of design solutions that align with the project goals and brand vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the design process from concept to completion for all assigned projects
• Coordinate between clients, architects, consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth workflow
• Review and approve design documentation (concepts, drawings, material specs) to ensure quality and compliance
• Ensure all designs meet building codes, regulations, and internal standards
• Facilitate design workshops and presentations with internal teams and clients
• Monitor timelines, budgets, and resource allocation related to the design scope
• Oversee value engineering without compromising the design intent
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring consistent design direction across all
• Provide technical input and resolve design-related issues during construction phase
• Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and technology in design and construction

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in design management or senior design roles
• Strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects (architecture/interiors)
• Proficient in design software: AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Adobe Suite, etc.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, building systems, and detailing
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
• Ability to manage consultants and multidisciplinary teams
• Solid understanding of project lifecycle, cost control, and contract administration

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP or equivalent project management certification
• Experience with high-end hospitality, commercial, or residential projects
• Familiarity with sustainable and LEED-certified design practices

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented
Design Manager
to oversee design development, ensure design excellence, and coordinate across teams and consultants. This is a mid-level leadership role ideal for an architect or interior designer with approximately 3 years of experience who is ready to take on design ownership and team coordination responsibilities.

You will work across multiple projects from concept to execution, guiding junior designers while collaborating with senior leadership, consultants, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design development process for assigned projects (architecture and interiors)
• Manage design timelines, workflows, and deliverables across multiple project stages (concept, schematic, DD, CD)
• Coordinate with clients, consultants (MEP, structural, etc.), and internal teams
• Ensure alignment of design intent with technical documentation and construction feasibility
• Conduct and lead design charrettes, internal reviews, and client presentations
• Provide mentorship and feedback to junior architects and designers
• Ensure adherence to local codes, zoning, and regulatory requirements
• Review drawings, 3D models, and presentation materials for quality and consistency
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams during execution phase

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in a professional architecture/design firm
• Strong conceptual design and spatial planning skills
• Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Suite
• Familiarity with construction documentation and detailing
• Experience managing small teams or mentoring junior staff
• Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, including client presentation experience
• Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Architect or working toward licensure
• Experience with BIM coordination or multi-disciplinary collaboration
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and certifications (e.g. LEED, IGBC)
• Experience with high-end residential, commercial, or institutional projects
