Job Description Assistant Manager (Accounts)

Location: Dahej / Bharuch (Preference to candidates from Bharuch)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Manager Accounts with strong expertise in GST filing and Accounts Payable operations. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a chemical manufacturing environment and be capable of independently managing high-value GST filings and vendor-related financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • GST Filing & Compliance

  • Handle end-to-end GST filing, including monthly, quarterly, and annual returns.

  • Must have exposure to managing GST filings amounting to 700 Crores or more.

  • Ensure compliance with GST laws, reconciliations, and timely submissions.

  • Billing & Invoice Processing

  • Process billing for raw materials, transportation, and related services.

  • Manage MSME vendor invoice processing in line with the Government Act.

  • Verify and validate supporting documents for accuracy before processing.

  • Accounts Payable Management

  • Oversee the complete accounts payable cycle, including vendor reconciliation and payment scheduling.

  • Ensure timely vendor payments and address any discrepancies or escalations.

  • Maintain accurate records and follow internal controls for AP operations.

  • Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with vendors, procurement, logistics, and internal teams for smooth financial operations.

  • Maintain up-to-date records, documentation, and reports related to GST, AP, and billing.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience in accounts, preferably in a chemical manufacturing company.
  • Strong knowledge of GST regulations, high-value GST filing (700 Cr+), and accounts payable processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate:

  • Candidates from Bharuch or nearby locations will be given preference.

  • Experience in chemical or process manufacturing industries is added advantage.
