Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (On-site) — Women's Health & Maternal Care, Hospital Clinical Services

About the Opportunity

Medico Hub is seeking a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join our clinical team in Shahpura. The role blends outpatient clinics, inpatient management, operative care and emergency obstetric services with opportunities to mentor junior clinicians and support service quality initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient obstetric and gynaecologic care, including antenatal clinics and postnatal follow-up.
• Lead labour ward management and perform deliveries—vaginal, assisted and operative (cesarean section)—ensuring safe maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Manage obstetric emergencies (e.g., PPH, eclampsia, sepsis) and coordinate multidisciplinary escalation when required.
• Perform and supervise gynaecologic surgeries, including laparoscopic procedures, and ensure operative documentation and perioperative protocols.
• Interpret fetal monitoring (CTG) and obstetric ultrasound reports to guide timely clinical decision-making.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, participate in audits, mentor junior doctors and contribute to continuous quality improvement and clinical governance processes.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• MBBS with DGO / MS / MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or equivalent
• Current registration with the Medical Council of India/NMC and local Rajasthan medical registration
• Proven clinical competence in cesarean section and emergency obstetric care
• Proficiency in obstetric ultrasound and CTG interpretation
• Experience in laparoscopic gynaecologic procedures
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) or equivalent

Preferred

• Fellowship or additional training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine or minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical audit processes
• Prior work in community antenatal programmes or rural healthcare settings
