Job Description

We are hiring a seasoned Mechanical Head for our at Mundra Site. The ideal candidate should come from a non-ferrous industry background with strong exposure to acid handling safety and large-scale mechanical systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with internal Mechanical Department to develop & implement Preventive, Predictive & Corrective Maintenance plans.
  • Hands-on experience with Fans, Blowers, Conveyors, Overhead Cranes, Furnaces, and machine alignment.
  • Lead a team of technicians: hiring, training, task assignment, and performance evaluation.
  • Manage maintenance budget and ensure optimal cost control and resource utilization.
  • Track and improve KPIs such as equipment downtime, reliability, and maintenance costs.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement effective corrective measures.
  • Ensure safety compliance, including permits and SOPs, especially in acid-handling operations.
  • Plan and manage vendor relationships for timely and cost-effective service.
  • Train the team on latest technologies, safety practices, and maintenance methods.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders for seamless operations.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR Chemical Engineering
  • 12–15 years (B.E.) of relevant maintenance experience in non-ferrous or similar heavy industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with hands-on technical knowledge.
  • Proven track record in equipment maintenance, team management, and safety compliance.
