Job Title: Lead Expert BTC Instrumentation & Controls (Assistant Manager)

Location- Vadodara, Gujurat

Educational Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering

Experience:

  • 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in instrumentation, testing operations, equipment maintenance, and audit compliance

Job Purpose:

To lead instrumentation and control functions at the Base Test Centre (BTC), ensuring operational readiness, equipment reliability, vendor coordination, and compliance with audit and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Setup Preparation

  2. Lead the setup of instrumentation systems in coordination with the Team Leader.

  3. Test Planning & Procurement

  4. Drive planning and procurement of materials required for test execution.

  5. Vendor Management

  6. Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams for sourcing and service delivery.

  7. Provide feedback for vendor evaluation to Head O&M.

  8. Equipment Maintenance & Calibration

  9. Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.

  10. Oversee calibration activities to maintain accuracy and reliability.

  11. Manpower Management

  12. Mobilize and supervise technicians during test execution.

  13. Audit & Accreditation Compliance

  14. Participate in internal and external audits.

  15. Ensure timely closure of non-conformities (NCs) and maintain documentation.

Soft Skills:

  • Good communication skills
  • Strong people management and team coordination abilities

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Basic programming knowledge
  • PLC / SCADA training or certification
