Job Summary :

Neotas is seeking an accomplished and strategic DevOps Head with 10 to 13 years of experience in DevOps and infrastructure to lead our remote operations.

This senior leadership role demands proven experience in defining and executing a comprehensive DevOps strategy and roadmap across a multi-cloud environment.

The Head will be accountable for architecting, building, and operating highly scalable infrastructure, leading containerization efforts, driving security and compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR), and ensuring excellence in CI/CD, monitoring, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities :

DevOps Strategy, Leadership, and Governance :

- Define and execute the overall DevOps strategy and technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals for scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.

- Provide strategic team leadership and technical guidance to the engineering teams, fostering a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.

- Drive robust security and compliance initiatives across the infrastructure, specifically ensuring adherence to standards like ISO 27001 and GDPR.

Cloud Infrastructure and Container Orchestration :

- Architect, build, and operate highly scalable cloud infrastructure across major providers (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).

- Lead the implementation and management of containerization and orchestration technologies, primarily Docker and Kubernetes.

- Drive infrastructure automation using mandatory Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

Reliability, CI/CD, and Monitoring :

- Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to maximize deployment velocity and code quality.

- Design and implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack to proactively track system health and performance.

- Oversee and optimize technical processes for incident management and design rigorous Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and testing procedures.

- Manage and optimize cloud costs and system performance for maximum efficiency and return on investment.

Qualifications :

- Experience : Mandatory 10 years of progressive experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or SRE, including demonstrable team leadership experience.

- CI/CD & Automation (Mandatory) : Strong technical expertise with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab/CircleCI) and IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation).

- Technical Fundamentals : Proficiency in scripting languages (Python/Bash), advanced networking concepts, and deep knowledge of cloud security best practices.

- Observability : Expertise in managing and utilizing monitoring/logging platforms (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK).

- Containerization : Mandatory hands-on experience managing Docker and Kubernetes in large-scale production environments.

Preferred Skills :

- Certification in Cloud Platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional).

- Direct experience with ISO 27001 knowledge/certifications and implementation experience with GDPR compliance.

- Proven exposure to DevSecOps practices, including security scanning and static analysis integration in CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience in leading cloud migration or large-scale infrastructure transformation projects.
