What You'll Do

  • Provides day-to-day management of all infrastructure components including but not limited to Network Infrastructure and Security Applications and Appliances
  • Creates and maintains supporting documentation, including but not limited to Network Infrastructure diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Disaster Recovery Plans, and IT policies and procedures.
  • Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
  • Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
  • Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
  • Secures network by developing network access, monitoring control, and evaluation.
  • Upgrades network by conferring with vendors, developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to identify future needs and requirements & develop future state architecture.
  • Provide level 3 technical expertise for projects and issues related to Network infrastructure.
  • Ensure the security of information technology assets, data, network access, and backup systems, and implement monitoring and alerting systems to verify the security of internal and external systems

Special Conditions:

  • Some evening and weekend work will be required (as required)
  • Ability to provide 24-hour on-call and on-site emergency support (as required)

Experience You'll Bring

  • University Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Networking, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 2 – 5 years of progressive experience in IT Networking and/or Server Infrastructure.
  • Fundamental understanding of Network Performance Tuning
  • Fundamental understanding of LAN, and WAN protocols.
  • Fundamental understanding of Network Design and Implementation
  • Fundamental understanding of DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and Routing
  • Proven strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent report and documentation writing skills.
  • Practical experience managing network software and network hardware devices.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, monitoring methodologies, escalation processes, and procedures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Proven ability to mentor and train others
  • Strong communication skills and organization skills

Nice to Have:

  • Relevant certifications (Network +, Security +, CCNA, CCSA)
  • Experience with Checkpoint Products
  • Experience with HP/Aruba Product
