We are hiring for Team lead Ops - Hospital Billing Prior - Authorization

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead Hospital Billing Inpatient Prior Authorization to lead our growing Pre-Authorization (RCM) team. The ideal candidate will oversee inpatient authorization processes, guide team performance, and ensure seamless coordination with U.S. healthcare payers and clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify insurance coverage for hospital inpatient and emergency admissions
  • Estimate patient charges and calculate deposit requirements
  • Submit clinical documentation to support medical necessity reviews
  • Track and secure initial and continued stay authorizations
  • Maintain accurate records of pending, approved, denied, and appealed cases
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to prevent delays in patient care
  • Supervise and mentor team members to achieve accuracy and productivity goals

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum 7+ years in Hospital Billing Inpatient Prior Authorization
  • Must have 1+ year on-paper supervisory/team lead experience
  • Expertise in payer portals and EMR systems (Meditech, EPIC, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work in night / rotational shifts
