The Position / About The Job
In this job the Team Manager Production ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently to get predicable and sustainable output. As process owner be responsible for:
- safety of the people, processes and manufactured/delivered products
- quality + Q-system
- delivery
- cost
- As owner secure the quality, via SOP audit dialogues, and execution of the SOPs
- By own presence drive performance of the team and employees
- Be responsible for own cost account, P4
- Drive performance meetings, improvement meetings and related activities
- Be a link between the factory and support functions for daily issues
- Control of quality, deviations and line stops
- Provide the team with relevant information
- Set and follow up targets for the team and each employee, broken down from unit level
- Perform audits according to ALPS
- Well familiar with handling of various type of CNC machines and controllers, aware of programs and tooling etc.
- Troubleshooter - Problem analysis & resolution by using various tools/ techniques
- Planning for optimum utilization of resources (man, Machine, Method and Material)
- Ensure all relevant procedures are described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance. Eg Alfa Laval production system / ISO9001 / ISO45001 / Food / PED etc
- Facilitate and initiate continuous improvement activities and safeguard the quality and necessary documentation
Expectations & Responsibilities
- Production planning: Create Period program based on customer demand, material availability, and employee availability.
- Production process: Monitor and manage the production process to ensure efficiency and delivery as per commitment.
- Quality control: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure finished goods meet drawings and quality standards requirements.
- Equipment maintenance: Ensure that manufacturing equipment is properly maintained (CLIT)
- Cost management: Manage production costs and adhere operational budgets.
- Inventory management: Work with the buyers to manage inventory levels in WIP and Finish stock
- Improvement in Productivity OYO
- Coordination within and other departments like manufacturing and support functions and Identify potential risks & pressure points so that Quality standards are not compromised within the factory
- Drive Behavior Based Safety culture and monitor the progress in the factory.
- Monthly updating of functional KPIs for Safety for Near Miss, injuries and follow-up.
- Provide support and active participation in ALPS Installation activities.
- By own presence drive performance by mapping & coaching/developing competence of TME's

What you can be?
- Degree in Mechanical/ Production with 7-10 years of experience in a production / Manufacturing company.
- Leadership and management skills
- Experience from improvement tools, e g 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen
- Production finance
- Manufacturing process and techniques- Machining (CNC and Conventional), welding, Surface treatment, Flow forming, Pressing and packaging, Knowledge of special processes (painting, shot blasting, tinning etc etc..) and Metallurgical , Calibration
Authority Level
- Financial authority to execute within the team´s P4 costing update frame.
- To decide capacity transfer in and out from the cell.
- To stop production in the cell in case of safety / quality / environmental deviations.
- To make ALPS (Alfa Laval Production System) audits and take corrective actions in case of deviations.
- To delegate tasks in the own organization.
