We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nephrologist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, managing, and treating kidney-related diseases and disorders, providing both inpatient and outpatient care, and contributing to patient education and departmental development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney diseases (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), electrolyte disorders, hypertension related to renal issues
  • Perform and oversee dialysis procedures (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis etc.)
  • Provide pre- and post-transplant care for kidney transplant recipients
  • Interpret and act upon kidney function tests and imaging studies
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals
  • Mentor and train junior medical staff/trainees
  • Maintain accurate and updated medical records, follow best practices and hospital protocols
  • Possibly contribute to academic work / research if the institution is attached to medical education

Qualifications:

  • MBBS degree (recognized university)
  • DM or DNB in Nephrology (or equivalent advanced specialization)
  • Valid medical license / registration to practice in India (Himachal Pradesh preferred)
  • Experience: Preferably 2-5 years post DM/DNB; possibly freshers considered depending on institution
  • Good clinical skills, diagnostic ability, communication, teamwork
