Nephrologist

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney diseases (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), electrolyte disorders, hypertension related to renal issues
- Perform and oversee dialysis procedures (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis etc.)
- Provide pre
- and post-transplant care for kidney transplant recipients
- Interpret and act upon kidney function tests and imaging studies
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals
- Mentor and train junior medical staff/trainees
- Maintain accurate and updated medical records, follow best practices and hospital protocols
- Possibly contribute to academic work / research if the institution is attached to medical education
**Qualifications**:
- MBBS degree (recognized university)
- DM or DNB in Nephrology (or equivalent advanced specialization)
- Valid medical license / registration to practice in India (Himachal Pradesh preferred)
- Experience: Preferably 2-5 years post DM/DNB; possibly freshers considered depending on institution
- Good clinical skills, diagnostic ability, communication, teamwork
