The Colaba News24 is a dynamic and rapidly growing local news channel based in South Mumbai. We cover stories that shape the lives of South Mumbai residents — from breaking news and civic issues to local culture, business, and community events.

We are looking for an energetic and passionate Marathi News Field Reporter with 1–2 years of experience in journalism or media reporting. If you have a strong command of Marathi, great on-camera presence, and the drive to tell impactful local stories, this is your opportunity to make your mark in Mumbai's media landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather news stories, conduct field reporting, and cover live events across South Mumbai.
  • Conduct interviews with public figures, officials, and local citizens in Marathi.
  • Present live reports, voiceovers, and on-camera segments for Marathi news bulletins and digital content.
  • Research, verify facts, and develop compelling story ideas relevant to the local Marathi-speaking audience.
  • Coordinate with video editors, producers, and to ensure smooth coverage.
  • Represent The Colaba News24 professionally during press events and public interactions.
  • Maintain accuracy, speed, and journalistic ethics in all reporting work.
  • A Good Phone needed (Must)

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience as a News Reporter / Field Journalist (TV, digital, or print).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
  • Strong understanding of local news, current affairs, and civic issues.
  • Confident on-camera presence and clear Marathi voice delivery.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good networking skills and local area knowledge of South Mumbai.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Journalism, Mass Media, or Communication.
  • Familiarity with live reporting, social media updates, and mobile journalism (MoJo).
  • Experience in local or regional Marathi news media will be an added advantage.
