Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain robotic software systems using ROS/ROS 2, ensuring robust communication between sensors, actuators, and AI modules.
  • Design and implement ROS nodes, topics, services, and action servers for modular and scalable robot control.
  • Build robot models using URDF/Xacro and integrate them in Gazebo or Ignition for simulation and visualization.
  • Configure and tune navigation, SLAM, and localization stacks for autonomous robot motion.
  • Integrate and calibrate various sensors such as LiDAR, IMU, and cameras for perception and mapping.
  • Implement computer vision pipelines using OpenCV and PCL for detection, tracking, and object recognition.
  • Interface embedded systems (Arduino, STM32, Raspberry Pi) with ROS through serial communication.
  • Collaborate with hardware, control, and AI teams to ensure real-time synchronization between software and mechanical subsystems.
  • Use Git, Docker, and Linux tools for version control, containerization, and deployment.
  • Document system architecture, maintain launch configurations, and conduct hardware-in-loop (HIL) testing.
