The Head of IT will lead and manage the organizations technology strategy, operations, and infrastructure to support business goals. This senior leadership role is responsible for developing and executing IT initiatives, ensuring robust and secure systems, managing IT teams, vendors, and budgets, and aligning technology solutions with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company's business goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for innovation, digital transformation, and competitive advantage.
  • Provide strategic guidance on new technologies, system enhancements, and IT investments.

IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Oversee all IT operations including infrastructure, networks, servers, cloud services, and enterprise systems.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems and services.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.

Security & Compliance

  • Establish and enforce IT security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data protection laws, and internal governance frameworks.

Team & Vendor Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics for IT staff.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and external partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance to ensure value and service quality.

Project & Change Management

  • Drive critical IT projects including system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver technology initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Promote continuous improvement and process optimization across IT services.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive IT experience with significant leadership responsibilities.
  • Prior experience managing IT operations and strategy in a medium to large organization is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, systems, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and enterprise applications.
  • Experience with IT governance, compliance standards, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery, business continuity, and security best practices.
