Role: SAP QM & S/4HANA Data Migration Consultant

Overview

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing data migration activities during SAP S/4HANA implementations, with a focus on Quality Management (QM) processes. Ensures accurate, timely, and secure transfer of data from legacy systems to S/4HANA while maintaining compliance and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Migration Strategy

  • Design and implement end-to-end data migration plans for SAP QM and related modules.

  • Define scope, timelines, and migration objects (master data & transactional data).

  • Data Quality & Cleansing

  • Conduct data profiling and cleansing to ensure high-quality data before migration.

  • Maintain data integrity during extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

  • Execution

  • Use SAP tools like Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, and LSMW for migration.

  • Develop ETL scripts and workflows for legacy-to-S/4HANA data transfer.

  • Testing & Validation

  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and UAT to confirm accuracy post-migration.

  • Collaboration

  • Work closely with functional teams (QM, MM, PP) and technical teams.

  • Train local teams on sustaining data quality processes post-deployment.

  • Documentation

  • Maintain detailed records of migration processes, mappings, and test results.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience

  • 8 to10+ years in SAP data migration projects, including QM module.

  • Hands-on experience with S/4HANA global implementations.

  • Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SAP Data Services, Migration Cockpit, LSMW, and ABAP basics.

  • Strong understanding of SAP QM processes and integration points.

  • Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple streams.

  • Preferred

  • Knowledge of ETL tools, SQL, and data profiling techniques.

  • SAP certification in S/4HANA or Data Migration.
