About the Role

We're seeking a motivated
Food Technologist – R&D
to join our dynamic team at Food Innovators. In this role, you'll drive innovation across the product lifecycle—from concept to launch—leveraging your technical expertise to bring market-ready solutions in areas such as functional foods, ready-to-eat meals, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead
    formulation and development
    of new food products tailored to market trends and client briefs
  • Optimize existing recipes for improved functionality, sensory appeal, cost-efficiency, and shelf life
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (production, marketing, QA, packaging, procurement) to ensure seamless scale-up and launch of products
  • Conduct and document
    sensory evaluations
    , pilot tests, and
    stability studies
    to refine formulations
  • Manage technical documentation—formulation sheets, ingredient specs, product data, shelf-life protocols, compliance records
  • Support
    FSSAI labeling, testing
    , and regulatory compliance, including training production teams as needed
  • Stay updated on consumer trends, emerging ingredients, and R&D innovations to drive continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Food Science
    ,
    Food Technology
    ,
    Food Engineering
    ,
    Nutrition
    , or a related field
  • years of experience
    in food product development, R&D, or formulation work—preferably in processing, functional foods, or packaged formats (e.g. bars, chips)
  • Hands-on knowledge of
    lab techniques
    , pilot-scale trials, and production scaling processes
  • Proficiency in
    sensory evaluation
    , shelf-life testing protocols, and quality assurance standards
  • Familiarity with
    FSSAI regulations
    ,
    HACCP
    ,
    ISO 22000
    , and labeling laws in India
  • Strong
    analytical, documentation, and project management
    skills.
