Rol An Electrical Maintenance Engineer ensures the reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment in a facility or plant. They perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair or replace faulty components to minimize downtime and ensure safety. They also develop and implement maintenance schedules, and may supervise other technicians. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Inspection: Conducting routine inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify potential problems and ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment condition.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Collaborating with other maintenance team members, and communicating effectively with other departments.
  • Supervision & Training: May supervise and train other maintenance staff in proper procedures and safety practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure thoroughness and accuracy in maintenance tasks.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems for record-keeping and communication.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations: Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards, such as NEC and OSHA.

  • Inventory Management: Managing spare parts and materials for electrical maintenance.
