We are looking for a highly experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Utilities domain to provide strategic insights, domain leadership, and technical guidance across enterprise transformation programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise, a strong understanding of utility operations, and the ability to influence technology and business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary domain expert for utility sector engagements, including electricity, water, and gas.
  • Lead business and technology discussions with stakeholders, translating domain needs into actionable solutions.
  • Provide thought leadership in areas such as smart grid, metering, billing, outage management, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and delivery teams to ensure domain alignment across solutions.
  • Support pre-sales, RFP responses, and client presentations with domain-specific insights.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging technologies in the utilities space.
  • Mentor internal teams on domain best practices and utility-specific processes.
  • Contribute to solution accelerators, reusable assets, and domain frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in the utilities industry, with exposure to both business and technology functions.
  • Strong understanding of utility operations including generation, transmission, distribution, metering, and billing.
  • Experience with platforms such as SAP IS-U, Oracle Utilities, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar.
  • Familiarity with smart grid technologies, IoT, SCADA, AMI, and energy analytics.
  • Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business.
  • Experience working with global utility clients or large transformation programs.
  • Certifications in utility platforms or enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF, SAP, Oracle).
