Role Overview:

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services required for Param's exhibits, events, workshops, and operational needs. This role requires strong vendor management skills, a solid understanding of procurement procedures, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams to meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the procurement function by sourcing vendors, evaluating proposals, negotiating pricing, and issuing purchase orders.

Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable vendors while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and quality standards.

●
Coordinate with internal teams to understand material and equipment requirements for exhibits, workshops, events, and maintenance activities.

●
Track orders, manage delivery timelines, and collaborate with inventory/logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow and issue resolution.

●
Support budget planning by reviewing quotations, optimising costs, and providing procurement forecasts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

●
Bachelor's degree or diploma in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or a related field, with 2–4 years of experience in procurement or sourcing roles.

●
Strong negotiation, communication, vendor management, and organisational skills with high attention to detail.

●
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with procurement/ERP tools, inventory processes, and basic contract terms.

●
Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in dynamic environments such as science centres, museums, or educational/event-driven setups.
