Mission
- Key missions of the position:
- New products Design, Development, Validation & Documentation
- Supporting and Sustaining existing Products
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
- Check for Design feasibility Analysis and develop 2D concepts/architecture
- Manage Product level requirements and compliances
- Conduct Design Reviews
- Prepare DFMECA
- Collaborate with RAMS team for FTA, Safety, Reliability and LCC assessments
- Prepare Validation Plan, Specifications and Reports
- Understanding of Design principles and Standardization
- Continuous Improvements to improve product reliability and reduce LCC
- Ensure compliance to global standards and applications
- Able to study, interpret and prepare detailed Electrical / Electronics schemes
- Able to perform Design calculations
- Own and manage Design deliverables with First Time Right approach and ensure OTD
- Travelling to Field for Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Troubleshooting activities
- Establish Communication with global product teams
- Innovation and Creative thinking
- Knowledge on DFM, DFA, FTA
- Possess strong presentation and communication skills
- Designing, inspecting, testing, and updating electronic systems, components, equipment, and software.
- Test theoretical design
- Systematically improve the detailed design of a piece of electronic equipment
- Write specifications and technical reports
- Follow defined development processes
- Work with colleagues to design new systems, circuits and devices or develop existing technology
- Conduct system evaluations and make appropriate recommendations to modify designs or repair equipment as needed
- Ensure that a product will work with devices developed by others, can be made again reliably, and will perform consistently in specified operating environments
- Liaising with engineers, other professionals, as well as clients to ensure quality projects are completed to specifications.
- Analyse the needs of internal customers to determine system requirements and the cost of developing electronic system plans
- Identify and recommend system improvements to improve technical performance
- Inspect electronics to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards
- Define and execute testing and maintenance procedures for electronics components
- Observing existing processes and making recommendations for improvement.
- Writing specifications, instructions, reports, and handling other required administrative duties.
- Ensuring all equipment and products meet health and safety regulations.
- Developing effective maintenance, testing, and quality control procedures.
- Showing initiative and keeping up with advancements in Electronics.
- Monitoring processes, systems identifying problems.
- Establishing relationships with staff, vendors, suppliers, and other professionals in the field.
Required Candidate Profile
Education/Training
B.E in Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering
Professional
Experience
=> 3 – 5 years in Railway Product manufacturing industry (Preferably Brakes).
=> Prior knowledge in Microprocessor based Electronics Brake System would be an added advantage
Key Competences
- Circuit Simulators: Proficient in Simulation and Report generation. If not, ability to learn quickly.
- AUTOCAD – added advantage - Proficient in Drafting (2D). If not, ability to learn Quickly
- Electrical & Electronics Symbols and Schematics: Proficient. If not, ability to learn Quickly
- MS Office tools : Proficient
