Agile and Scrum Frameworks:

  • Act as an Agile Coach and Facilitator, guiding the Development Team and Product Owner in the effective understanding and application of Scrum, Kanban, or other scaling frameworks.
  • Facilitate all Scrum Events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective) to ensure they are productive, goal-oriented, and time-boxed.
  • Actively promote Agile values and principles (Transparency, Inspection, Adaptation, Collaboration, and Continuous Improvement) across the team and organization.
  • Drive the team to a higher level of Scrum maturity, coaching on self-organization, cross-functionality, and sustainable pace.

Agile Tooling, Data, and Metrics:

  • Administer and utilize Agile Project Management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint tracking, and reporting.
  • Maintain transparency by ensuring all work items, dependencies, and team progress are accurately tracked and visualized on the team board and documentation platforms like Confluence.
  • Analyze and report on key Agile metrics (e.g., Velocity, Cycle Time, Lead Time, Burndown/Burnup Charts) to provide data-driven insights to the team and stakeholders for continuous process improvement.
  • Facilitate Backlog Refinement sessions, coaching the team and Product Owner on effective story splitting, relative estimation, and clear Definition of Done (DoD).
  • Identify, log, and proactively eliminate impediments and obstacles that block the team's progress, leveraging team collaboration tools (e.g., Slack/MS Teams) for swift resolution.
  • Protect the Development Team from external distractions and non-value-add interruptions, ensuring focus on Sprint Goals and delivering working software.
  • Facilitate effective discussion, negotiation, and conflict resolution within the team and between the team and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner in managing and refining the Product Backlog, ensuring it is clear, transparent, and aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Lead planning and problem-solving sessions with product management, delivery teams, and cross-functional partners.
  • Foster a productive, innovative, and trusting environment where team members feel a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the product.

  • Cross-Functional Acumen: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, UX/Design, QA, Product, and Operations).
  • Technical Awareness: Foundational understanding of the mobile application software development life cycle, including concepts like CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management in cloud environments (e.g., Azure or similar platforms).

Qualifications & Certification

  • Experience:Solid and evidenced experience as a dedicated Scrum Master.
  • Education:Bachelors or Post Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical field is preferred.
  • Certifications: Industry-recognized, active certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM I/II, A-CSM, SAFe, or Kanban certification) are a significant advantage. Please highlight these during application and interview.
