About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Database Engineer
with deep expertise in
Postgres or NoSQL databases
. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in database administration, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and scripting. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of mission-critical database systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain Postgres and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Perform
    database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting
    .
  • Manage
    backup, recovery, and high availability (HA/DR)
    strategies.
  • Ensure database
    security, monitoring, and capacity planning
    .
  • Work with
    Linux systems and networking components
    for database deployments.
  • Develop and maintain
    automation scripts
    (Perl, Python, or Shell) to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support application and infrastructure needs.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of database engineering experience, with at least 4 years in
    Postgres or NoSQL
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    MongoDB, MariaDB/Oracle, SQL & NoSQL
    database management.
  • Expertise in
    Linux system administration and network maintenance
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    scripting (Perl/Python/Shell)
    .
  • Proven ability in
    performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup & recovery
    .

Good to Have

  • Experience with
    ElasticSearch and Redis
    .
  • Exposure to
    modern monitoring and automation tools
    .
