  • .The TIG welder will be responsible for performing high-quality, precise TIG (Gas Tungsten Arc) welding on mild steel and stainless steel components. This position requires an expert-level understanding of both metals' unique characteristics and a proven ability to produce flawless welds that meet strict quality and safety standards. Key responsibilities
  • Perform TIG welding on various thicknesses of mild steel and stainless steel, producing high-quality welds with minimal distortion.
  • Specialize in welding stainless steel, including types 304 and 316, ensuring aesthetically clean, colorless, and corrosion-resistant joints.
  • Accurately read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine project specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, deburring, and positioning components to ensure proper alignment and a contaminant-free weld area.
  • Set up and operate TIG welding machines, selecting the correct amperage, shielding gas (typically argon), tungsten electrode, and filler rod for the specific material and application.
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality control checks on all completed welds to verify they meet specified tolerances and standards.
  • Perform finishing work, such as grinding, polishing, and buffing, to achieve the required surface finish on fabricated parts.
  • Troubleshoot welding equipment, fixtures, and procedural issues as they arise, and provide feedback to engineering and supervision for continuous improvement.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
