Role & responsibilities

  • Study of the project and its feasibility through the various inputs received from the project management team.
  • Feasibility of the new concept and executing various engineering calculations
  • BOM creation and material selection for costing
  • Preparing and delivering 2D drawings and 3D models as per the project requirements
  • Design sheet metals, fabrication parts, components etc. as per the concept
  • Preparing part drawings with details like material, fits & tolerances, machining, heat treatment etc.
  • Value Addition / Engineering (VA/VE) to reduce cost.
  • Study of the machines and designing new / modify existing concepts as per the customer requirements.
  • Designing the machine considering various aspects of manufacturability, serviceability, compatibility, feasibility etc.
  • Proper documentation of the entire process - ECN
  • Development of the complete prototype and its trouble shooting
  • Preparing spare part catalogue & operation manuals of the machine

Preferred candidate profile

  • Mechanical design with solid modelling using SolidWorks and detailed design
  • SAP working (BOM upload, ECN)
  • Should be proficient with 3D design software like SolidWorks, NX etc.
  • 3-5 years of experience in designing and costing in a machine manufacturing company
  • CAE Simulation experience will be preferred
