Why Orbit

CI/CD pipelines are growing more complex, with fragmented telemetry and mounting contention for shared infrastructure. Orbit provides unified telemetry and AI-driven insights to detect bottlenecks, reduce flakiness, and optimize pipeline performance across on-prem and cloud environments.

What You'll Do

  • Build distributed backend services for ingesting, processing, and querying high-volume telemetry
  • Design and evolve APIs that power Orbit's dashboards and AI agents
  • Work across the stack, backend first, but with opportunities to contribute to frontend
  • Shape architecture and product direction as an early team member

Must Haves

  • 3–5 years Golang backend development experience
  • Experience with distributed systems (queues, schedulers, workflow engines, data pipelines)
  • Solid understanding of APIs, data modeling, and databases
  • Comfort with cloud-native development (AWS/GCP, containers, orchestration)
  • Product mindset - building for usability, reliability, and speed

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to telemetry, observability, or monitoring systems
  • Event-driven architectures (Kafka, Temporal, NATS, etc.)
  • Frontend experience with React/TypeScript
  • Interest in LLM-driven products or eBPF
