About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled
Hybrid Test Engineer
with strong expertise in both
manual functional testing
and
automation testing
. The ideal candidate will be proficient in
Python with Selenium
, capable of building and executing automation frameworks, while also being hands-on with manual testing for functional, regression, and exploratory test cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse requirements and create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
  • Perform
    manual functional testing
    for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain
    automation test frameworks
    using
    Selenium with Python
    .
  • Execute and maintain
    regression, smoke, and sanity suites
    to ensure product stability.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners in an
    Agile/Scrum environment
    .
  • Contribute to
    CI/CD pipelines
    by integrating automated tests for continuous validation.
  • Conduct
    defect reporting, root cause analysis, and impact assessment
    .
  • Ensure
    quality metrics, documentation, and test reports
    are maintained for all releases.

Required Skills

  • 7–9 years of software testing experience.
  • Hybrid testing expertise
    with strong skills in both
    manual and automation testing
    .
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Selenium with Python
    .
  • Solid understanding of
    functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
    .
  • Experience in testing
    web and desktop applications
    (desktop testing is a plus).
  • Familiarity with
    Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar)
    .
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to
    desktop application testing
    .
  • Knowledge of
    other automation tools/frameworks
    (PyTest, Robot Framework, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of
    API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
    .
