Role & responsibilities
To lead the planning, execution, and optimization of paid advertising campaigns (Google Ads & Meta Ads) to drive user acquisition, brand awareness, conversions, and revenue growth; while managing a team to deliver consistent results.
Key Responsibilities
Area Description
Strategy & Planning
• Develop & own paid media strategy for Google Ads & Meta Ads aligned with business objectives.
• Set targets (KPIs) for ROAS, cost per acquisition, CTR, etc.
• Budget allocation & forecasting.
Campaign Management
• Create, launch, monitor, and optimize Google Search, Display, Video, Shopping campaigns.
• Create, launch, monitor, and optimize Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram) including various formats (Feed, Stories, Reels, etc.).
• A/B testing of creative, copy, targeting, bidding strategies.
Analytics & Reporting
• Track campaign performance; use data to draw insights & implement improvements.
• Use tools like Google Analytics, Facebook/Meta Business Manager, Tag Manager, etc.
• Prepare regular reports for stakeholders, showing performance vs targets, learnings, and next steps.
Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor the ads execution team: allocate tasks, review work, provide feedback.
• Monitor team productivity & quality.
• Possibly hire or outsource certain functions (creative, copywriting, analytics).
Collaboration
• Work with Creative, Content, Design, & Product teams to ensure ad creatives & landing pages are aligned & optimized.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Product for messaging, promotions, seasonal campaigns.
Optimization & Scaling
• Continuous optimization of campaigns to improve efficiency (lower CPA, higher ROI).
• Identify new channels or audience segments.
• Scale successful campaigns while controlling costs.
Stay Updated
• Keep up with latest trends, tools, and ad platform changes (Google Ads updates, Meta algorithm changes, policy updates).
• Implement best practices & ensure compliance with ad policies.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Deep knowledge of Google Ads (Search, Display, Video, Shopping) and Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram).
- Strong analytical skills: ability to interpret metrics (e.g. CTR, CR, ROAS, CPA) and make datadriven decisions.
- Handson experience with ad creative testing & iteration.
- Familiarity with tracking tools (e.g. UTM, pixels, events), web analytics (Google Analytics), conversion tracking.
- Good team management skills: mentoring, giving feedback, coordinating tasks.
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Certifications: Google Ads, Facebook/Meta Blueprint.
- Experience with ecommerce platforms or lead generation businesses.
- Knowledge of other paid channels (e.g. LinkedIn Ads, Bing Ads) is a plus.
Key Metrics / Targets
- Monthly / Quarterly ROAS and CPA goals.
- Budget utilization efficiency.
- Growth in traffic / conversions from paid channels.
- Team performance metrics (campaign delivery timelines, quality of creatives, optimization improvements).
