The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in the team by overseeing multiple projects (UX, UI Engineering and Creative) from conception through completion. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that each project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and meets the highest standards of quality and creativity. This role demands close collaboration with clients to understand and interpret their needs, effective management of design teams to drive progress, and clear communication to keep all stakeholders informed. Additionally, the Project Manager aligns project goals with client expectations and the EDSs broader business objectives, ensuring that every initiative contributes to both client satisfaction and organizational growth.

  • Project Planning: Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, create detailed plans, and set project milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Assemble and manage project teams, provide direction, motivate members, and foster collaboration.
  • Resource & Budget Management: Allocate resources, manage budgets, forecast costs, and advocate for additional funding if necessary.
  • Timeline Management: Monitor progress and schedules, track measurable milestones, and adjust as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify and mitigate risks, resolve obstacles, and facilitate change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain communication with stakeholders, report project status, and present updates or issues to management.
  • Quality Assurance & Evaluation: Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting: Compile and submit project deliverables, prepare comprehensive status reports, and oversee the coordination of development activities, dashboards, and trackers for the entire team across multiple projects.

Job Description / Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Act as the primary client liaison, capturing requirements, presenting updates, and gathering feedback to ensure creative output matches client expectations.

  2. Plan and schedule projects by defining objectives, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocations specific to design workflows (e.g., web, app, branding).

  3. Assemble, coordinate, and motivate cross-disciplinary creative teams, including designers, developers, writers, and other specialists.

  4. Manage budgets, forecast costs, and ensure profitability for both clients and the agency; monitor time and expenses across multiple concurrent projects.

  5. Oversee resource allocation and task management to deal with fast-paced agency lifejuggling priorities and timelines for numerous projects simultaneously.

  6. Handle scope changes and frequent revisions driven by iterative client feedback and creative development.

  7. Ensure quality control, reviewing deliverables for both creative standards and client satisfaction before final delivery.

  8. Foster strong teamwork and communication between all involved departments; act as the mediator between creative ambition and practical constraints.

  9. Prepare and maintain project documentation, status reports, and present outcomes or risks to senior management.

  10. Advocate for solutions that balance client needs, design innovation, and business objectives.

  11. Assist with recruitment and encourage high performance within creative teams when needed.

  12. Employ emotional intelligence to manage relationships and navigate the demands of clients and teams in a creative environment.
