Job description


• Lead end-to-end procurement for residential high-rise/group housing projects—projecting needs from BOQs, finalizing vendors, and ensuring on-time, in-full (OTIF) deliveries.


• Prepare and float RFQs/RFPs, conduct techno-commercial evaluations, negotiate prices/terms, and issue work orders/POs per SOPs.


• Build, qualify, and maintain vendor base for civil, MEP, finishing materials, and site services; drive AMC/Rate Contracts.


• Coordinate closely with site, planning, QS/billing, and finance teams for indents, material approvals (MIR), and budget adherence.


• Track procurement schedules vs construction look-ahead; de-bottleneck logistics, expediting, and inter-site transfers.


• Implement QA/QC checkpoints with incoming inspection, test certificates, and compliance to IS codes/specs.


• Monitor inventory, reorder levels, GRN/reconciliation, and curb excess/wastage through data-driven controls.


• Maintain procurement MIS (price indexes, vendor performance, savings), and present updates/risk registers to management.

Requirements


• B.Tech/B.E. (Civil/Mechanical) or Diploma (Civil/Mechanical) – Full-time (mandatory).


• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience in civil construction/real estate; high-rise/group housing exposure preferred.


• Strong knowledge of building materials, MEP items, finishes, plant & machinery, and construction services procurement.


• Proven negotiation and contract management skills; hands-on with RFQ/RFP, comparative statements, PO/WOs, and rate analysis.


• Working knowledge of QA/QC, IS codes, GST/e-invoicing basics, and statutory/vendor compliance.


• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/procurement tools, and vendor performance dashboards.


• Solution-oriented, deadline-driven, with excellent stakeholder communication; willing to travel to sites/vendors as required.
