About the Role
The
Business Development Manager
will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's presence across domestic and international markets. This role requires a blend of technical understanding of BIM services and strong business acumen to drive growth, revenue, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in
India, the Middle East, the US, and other international markets
. - Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of leads through market research, networking, and client outreach.
- Prepare and deliver
presentations, proposals, and quotations
tailored to client needs. - Lead the entire
sales cycle
— from lead generation to contract closure.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Act as a key account manager for strategic clients, ensuring consistent engagement and satisfaction.
- Understand client pain points and work closely with technical and project delivery teams to offer customized BIM solutions.
- Maintain regular client communication for feedback, renewals, and repeat business opportunities.
Market Strategy & Growth
- Conduct market intelligence to identify trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in the BIM ecosystem.
- Support management in defining
go-to-market strategies
for new regions and service offerings. - Represent the company in
industry events, trade shows, and networking forums
to enhance brand visibility. - Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns, case studies, and digital outreach strategies.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with technical teams to translate client requirements into project scopes and proposals.
- Coordinate with finance and legal teams for commercial and contractual documentation.
- Track and report key sales metrics, pipeline status, and forecasts to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Architecture / Construction Management.
- MBA in Marketing or Business Management preferred.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in business development, preferably within
BIM, design engineering, or construction technology
sectors. - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in managing international client relationships (especially in
US / UK / Middle East markets
).
Core Competencies
- Strong understanding of
BIM workflows, project delivery models, and software (Revit, Navisworks, IFC, etc.)
. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot / Salesforce / Zoho CRM) and MS Office Suite.
