Project Overview:
Palladium India is implementing projects with Hon. Balasaheb Thackeray Agribusiness & Rural Transformation Project, SMART where Palladium as Technical Support Agency (TSA) is implementing Value Chain Development Sub-projects of SMART with an objective 'to support the development of inclusive and competitive agriculture value chains, focusing on smallholder farmers and Agri-entrepreneurs in Maharashtra'
Job Summary: Agriculture Marketing Advisor will oversee the successful implementation of the project at the divisional level. This role includes promoting agribusiness, value chain promotion, agriculture marketing, economic and financial analysis of agribusiness projects, supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the efficient execution of project. Agriculture Marketing Advisor will work closely with local stakeholders, farmers, and other project team members to ensure that objectives are met on time and within budget.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop various reports and concept notes related to agribusiness as and when required
- Identify and finalize a Buyer partner for each CBO at Division level by assessing the business opportunities for each CBO, provision of TA & handholding to CBOs and establishing a long-term relation between CBOs with the Buyer
- Planning & organising Buyers - Sellers Meets at divisional levels
- Identify potential markets including potential enterprises such as processors, exporters, organized retailers, etc. to which CBOs and other beneficiaries can be linked.
- Undertake market linkage activities for CBOs by (a) reviewing implementation of their business plans / proposals, (b) gaps against target market standards, (c) assistance to improve food quality and safety, (d) review of infrastructure created and its usage, (e) increase in volume of sales, overall management and profits of CBOs
- Support Project Manager in monitoring of project deliverables, outcomes, and milestones.
- Conduct periodic review of schemes, budgetary outlays, expenditure patterns etc. for all programs/ schemes in Agriculture & allied sector
- Support in research, data collection, its updation and periodic analysis. Share updated data points with Project Manager to design strategies and plans
- Facilitate communication, coordination, and information sharing to enable effective project implementation
- Foster strong relationships with local partners, government agencies, and NGOs.
- Attend regular meetings with project staff to ensure smooth communication and problem-solving.

Qualifications Required:
- Graduate with MBA / Graduate with PGDABM or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Agri-business, value chain promotion, agriculture marketing, for agribusiness projects
- Experience working with farmers, FPOs, agricultural value chains stakeholders in Maharashtra
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders at the district and state level.
- Strong community engagement skills with the ability to build trust among local farmers and stakeholders.
Language:
- Hindi, English and Marathi
Working Conditions:
- Based at divisional PIU office with frequent travel within the division.
- Job location Divisions are Amravati, Chatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Kolhapur, Latur, Nagpur, Nashik, Pune and Thane
- Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate field activities and meetings with stakeholders.
