Product Manager – Product Planning & Procurement

Location: Goregaon, Mumbai

Department: Product Management

Work Time:- 9.15am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday (2nd & 4th Saturday Off)

Role Overview

The Product Manager – Product Planning & Procurement will be responsible for end-to-end product lifecycle management, including product planning, demand forecasting, procurement, and vendor management. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as R\&D, marketing, supply chain, finance, and sales to ensure timely product availability, cost optimization, and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

*1. Product Planning & Strategy

* Define and execute product planning strategies in line with business goals.

* Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify product opportunities.

* Work with R&D and design teams to develop new products and manage product roadmap.

* Prepare product cost structures, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis.

*2. Procurement & Vendor Management

* Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers/manufacturers for quality, cost, and delivery.

* Build strong vendor relationships to ensure consistent supply and favorable terms.

* Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvements in quality and efficiency.

* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and ethical standards.

*3. Demand Forecasting & Inventory Management

* Develop and maintain demand forecasts in collaboration with sales and marketing.

* Plan procurement schedules to ensure optimal inventory levels while minimizing stock-outs or overstocking.

* Monitor inventory turnover, lead times, and supply risks.

* Implement systems/tools for efficient demand planning and procurement tracking.

*4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Coordinate with marketing for product launches, promotions, and positioning.

* Work with finance to monitor budgets, margins, and procurement cost savings.

* Collaborate with supply chain/logistics for timely delivery and distribution.

* Provide product training and knowledge sharing to sales teams.

*5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

* Track product performance, profitability, and lifecycle stage.

* Prepare regular MIS reports for management on planning, procurement, and product performance.

* Recommend corrective actions for underperforming products or supply gaps.

Qualifications & Skills

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).

* 4–8 years of experience in product management, procurement, or supply chain.

* Strong knowledge of vendor management, sourcing, and procurement processes.

* Analytical skills for demand forecasting, pricing, and product profitability.

* Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and supply chain planning tools.

* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300, ₹720,000.00 per year
