Job Title: Wellness Coach – Chemo Day Care Center

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Wellness Coach to join our oncology care team at our Chemo Day Care Center in Ahmedabad.

The ideal candidate will work closely with chemotherapy patients to support their emotional, physical, and psychological wellbeing throughout treatment and recovery.

You will play a key role in helping patients build resilience, manage treatment side effects, and maintain a positive outlook through guided wellness sessions, counselling, and lifestyle coaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one and small group wellness sessions for patients undergoing chemotherapy.
  • Offer emotional support, stress management, and mindfulness-based coping strategies to patients and caregivers.
  • Educate patients about nutrition, gentle physical activity, and rest during and after chemo (as advised by medical staff).
  • Collaborate closely with oncologists, nurses, dietitians, and psychologists to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Assist in designing and implementing wellness & recovery programs within the chemo day care unit.
  • Document patient progress and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Organize wellness activities such as guided relaxation, breathing techniques, or journaling sessions.
  • Promote patient empowerment and mental wellbeing through motivational communication and empathy.

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Health Sciences (mandatory).
  • Preferred certifications: Wellness Coach / Health Coach
  • Training in palliative or oncology supportive care will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional listening and empathy skills, especially for patients in emotional distress.
  • Knowledge of stress management, counselling, and relaxation techniques.
  • Understanding of nutrition and fatigue management for chemo patients (in coordination with dietitian).
  • Ability to communicate gently yet effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff.
  • Organizational and record-keeping skills for maintaining wellness session data.
  • Comfortable working in a hospital or clinical environment.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years in wellness coaching, counselling, or hospital patient support roles.
  • Experience with oncology patients or palliative care will be highly preferred.
  • Freshers with healthcare or counselling background and strong compassion are encouraged to apply.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 36 months

Pay: ₹30, ₹45,000.00 per month
