How will you make an impact in this role?
The Enterprise Digital (ED) team operates with the mission of building customer-centric digital experiences, and drive enterprise value powered by unified, integrated solutions and scale of expertise.
The Experimentation Center of Excellence within the broader Enterprise Digital team supports the protocol, best-practices and insights-driven tools for all the digital portfolios of the enterprise. The team specializes in deep statistical research and bringing it to practical use for the purpose of driving the velocity, rigor and culture of experimentation. The team collaborates across the enterprise to establish experimentation as a practice for product evolution and deliver trustworthy insights.
Responsibilities:
· Establish CoE as the best-in-class resource for digital experimentation and insights, combining statistical research, practical applications, platforms and tooling.
· Increase and improve the velocity and culture of experimentation across enterprise by improving experimentation protocols, finding new areas of experimentation and onboarding new teams.
· Improve test planning and analysis protocols for greater volume of experimentation while maintaining statistical rigor and results reliability.
· Establish best practices for results readouts including KPI selection, scorecards and standardization of reporting.
· Aggregate experimentation summary across enterprise for reporting and building sophisticated models for predicting results and establishing Bayesian priors.
· Bring a fresh perspective to experiment-worthy ideas.
· Be an expert coach leading a team of analyst(s) as well as providing guidance, training and feedback across the enterprise.
· Lead selection, improvement and administration of experimentation platforms.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· Postgraduate/PhD. in statistics, mathematics, economics, physics, engineering or finance with a strong focus on quantitative and statistical methods & programming.
· Min 3 years of relevant work experience in data analytics and experimentation (not just A/B testing) with depth in mathematical awareness of Hypothesis Testing, RCT and Design of Experiments; experience in quantitative, business and product analytics preferred.
· Strong applied skills in complex inferential and Bayesian Hypothesis Testing; understanding of sequential methods, T1 error-adjustment & Contextual Bandits
· Some leadership experience as a statistician/analytics manager preferred with a strong ability to simplify complex techniques for broader consumption and contextualize benefits of stats best practices in driving business decisions
· Strong programming skills in: SQL (Big Query or equivalent), R (RShiny, statistical analysis packages), Python for data science; some experience in platform management (Docker Images, Linux & CI/CD pipelines) highly valuable. Bonus Points for: STAN, PySpark, Tensor-Flow
· Experience of working with big data analytics and Analytics & Experimentation Platforms (Adobe Analytics, Optimizely, Statsig, Tableau, etc.) valuable
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate technical analysis into actionable business insights
· Strong communication skills, with experience supporting storytelling efforts for diverse audiences.
· Excellent teamwork and thought leadership skills with experience collaborating with partners across the globe
