Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Research Analyst
to support our mutual fund investment strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough research on mutual funds across asset classes (equity, debt, hybrid), evaluating fund performance, monitoring fund manager strategies, and providing actionable insights to guide investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of mutual funds, fund houses, and fund managers.
  • Track and compare fund performance against benchmarks and peer groups.
  • Evaluate mutual fund portfolios to understand asset allocation, sector exposure, and risk characteristics.
  • Prepare research reports, investment notes, and presentations for internal and client use.
  • Maintain a database of mutual fund performance, ratings, and key metrics.
  • Assist in the creation and periodic review of mutual fund recommendation lists.
  • Monitor macroeconomic indicators and market trends that impact mutual fund performance.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, sales teams, and product teams to provide insights.
  • Interact with mutual fund company representatives to gather qualitative insights.
  • Stay updated on SEBI regulations and compliance matters affecting mutual funds.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • In-depth understanding of mutual fund products, NAV calculations, expense ratios, and portfolio structures.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Bloomberg, Morningstar, or Value Research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and fund fact sheets.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • CFA (preferred), MBA (Finance), or other investment-related certification.
  • 1–5 years of experience in mutual fund research or investment analysis (adjust for level).

Preferred Experience:

  • Preferred Experience of working in a mutual fund rating agency, wealth management firm, or AMC.
  • Familiarity with Indian mutual fund market and SEBI guidelines.
