Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at saaveri granites, a leading granite seller. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records for our business. Your responsibilities will include regular accounting tasks, handling way bills, purchase orders (POs), invoices, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting principles and regulations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts, and expenses.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit accurate tax filings, including sales tax, income tax, and other applicable taxes.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, operations, and procurement, to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Handle way bills, purchase orders (POs), and invoices, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal controls.
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, following up on outstanding payments and resolving any billing or payment issues.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, accounting standards, and best practices, making recommendations for process improvements when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred.
• Proven experience working as an Accountant or in a similar role, preferably within the construction or building materials industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks, Excel, or other similar applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
• Knowledge of the granite slab industry or experience working in a similar field is a plus.
