Key Responsibilities:

  • Shift Management & Supervision: Lead and manage CFS import operations during the assigned shift; ensure smooth handling of containers/cargo from port terminals; allocate manpower and equipment effectively.
  • Container & Cargo Handling: Oversee unloading, segregation (FCL/LCL, hazardous/non-hazardous), and delivery post customs clearance.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with shipping lines, CHA, transporters, customs, and internal teams (yard, warehouse, documentation).
  • Documentation & Reporting: Ensure EIR, tally sheets, gate passes, and shift reports are accurate and timely.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce SOPs, customs regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Performance Management: Monitor real-time KPIs, manage exceptions, and submit incident reports.
  • Optimize container yard space utilization and improve efficiency in stacking and retrieval within the CFS yard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Container Yard Planning: Strategically allocate slots for import/export, empty, hazardous, and reefer containers.
  • Stacking & Retrieval: Plan efficient stacking to reduce re-handling; coordinate retrieval for inspection, stuffing/de-stuffing, and delivery.
  • Equipment Coordination: Schedule and allocate reach stackers, forklifts, and trailers.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and update yard inventory through software (NAVIS, CFS systems); ensure location accuracy.
  • Coordination & Reporting: Work closely with operations, documentation, and gate teams; prepare yard utilization/movement reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate/Diploma in Logistics or related field.
  • Yard operations/planning at CFS/ICD.
  • Proficiency in CFS software (Navis, SPARCS, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of container types, layouts, and MHE operations.
