The Social Media Executive plays a vital role in the success of our company's marketing strategy by managing and executing our social media activities. This position involves creating engaging content, monitoring social media channels, and engaging with our online community. The Social Media Executive will work closely with the marketing team to ensure that our online presence aligns with our brand strategy and messaging.
In addition, the Social Media Executive is crucial in analyzing social media metrics to understand best practices for increasing engagement and reach. As the face of our brand on social platforms, this role carries the responsibility of maintaining our online reputation, responding to customer inquiries, and managing ongoing brand interaction. A successful Social Media Executive will enhance our brand's storyline through creative and strategic thinking, ensuring we remain relevant in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Training and supervising a cohort of social media specialists.
- Creating written pieces that are sharp, memorable, and effective at prompting readers to take action.
- Collaborating with Videographers and Multimedia Designers to ensure that posts are engaging.
- Optimizing content for publication across various social media sites.
- Scheduling copy for release at optimal times.
- Monitoring users' engagement with and feedback on every post.
- Analyzing and reporting on the effects of publications.
- Maintaining a secure database of all login credentials.
- Remaining abreast of changes to all pertinent social media applications.
- Exploring the potential value of social media sites that are not yet in our repertoire.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in social media management or a similar role.
- Proficient in using social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Strong understanding of social media analytics tools and reporting mechanisms.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style based on audience.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and keyword research best practices.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to drive engagement and brand awareness through social media.
- Creativity with a focus on innovative content ideas and campaigns.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle customer feedback and inquiries with professionalism and tact.
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
- A deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape and trends.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
