VMC Programmer

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and modify CNC programs for Vertical Machining Centers using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam,Solid cam,NX ) & manual G-code programming.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Set up and operate VMC machines to perform milling, drilling, tapping, and other machining operations.
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters for efficient machining.
• Conduct first-piece inspection and ensure all machined parts meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Troubleshoot programming or machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize machining processes to reduce cycle time and increase tool life.
• Maintain detailed records of programs, setups, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to improve manufacturability and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
• 5–7 years of experience in CNC/VMC programming and machining.
• Proficient in G-code, M-code, and CAM software ( Mastercam, SolidCAM, or NX ).
• Strong understanding of 3-axis and 4-axis VMC operations.
• Advanced knowledge of machining various materials (steel, aluminum, SS, etc.).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
• Familiar with CNC machine controllers like Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with high-precision and tolerance machining.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing and 5S practices.
• Knowledge of CNC lathe programming (added advantage).
• Experience in tool life monitoring and predictive maintenance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30, ₹45,000.00 per month
